Gregory Valyer
Vice president, Strategic Partnerships, Co-Founder
Gregory Valyer co-founded Bytemark in 2011, and he currently serves as Chief Business Development Officer. Gregory’s entrepreneurial vision helps him recognize gaps in the marketplace where technology can bridge the divide and make the customer experience better.
As part of the team that created the NY Waterway App, Gregory led a major innovation in the industry that pushed more transit companies toward pursuing mobile ticketing and payments.
Gregory combines impressive technical expertise — a credit to his Bachelor of Science in engineering at University of Iowa — with a knack for customer interaction that helps him connect to clients and determine what they need. He can explain the complex technology behind a product and also why it’s needed.
Prior to launching Bytemark, Gregory co-owned Digital Criterion Enterprises, Inc., where he worked for eight years and also served as chief operating officer. Before that, Gregory worked as a Mac Genius for Apple. Part of his job was assisting and reassuring people who’d just suffered catastrophic data losses, and his determined demeanor helped him excel at that difficult job.
